First few posts cover information I have gathered for heat treating and one for product testing of Condursal Z1100
Please share the information and visit often as I will be adding content on a daily basis.
Condursal Z1100 Anti-scaling paint has been added to the store today, this product will help protect your knife during heat treating by preventing oxidization and decarburization of the steel or stainless steel.
Due to the nature of the product having a temperature range of 600C to 1100C you will need to edit any heat treating schedule to have a hold point at 600C. Once the temperature is reached you can place the knives or tools in the furnace and soak for 5-30 minutes to bring the part up to furnace temperatures.
From there the heat treating schedule may proceed as normal, this includes the type of quenching used previously as this product can be air quenched or liquid medium such as oil or water with no adverse affects.
